WELCOME TO TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH OF PLATTSBURGH

Prepare, Learn, Serve

Trinity Episcopal Church is a weIcoming community sharing God's love with all. It is our belief that God's active presence can be felt through faith in Him. We are dedicated to the service of God and all his people, and our goal is to inspire you through the sanctity of our dwelling and our services. We invite you to become a part of our growing congregation.

Since 1822, twenty-five priests have served Trinity (until 2017). Located in the back of the church, the photos of the priests have been placed along the balcony wall for viewing.

Thank you for visiting our website. We are striving to provide meaningful online spiritual experiences during this difficult time. You can find services, musical offerings, Trinity's newsletter, and more, if you follow us on Facebook (just click the little f in the tool bar above). Your comments and suggestions are appreciated. CHURCH WORSHIP HOURS

Worship With Us!

As you are aware, there are updated New York State guidelines regarding Covid-19. As Christians, we have a responsibility to do anything we can to slow the spread of COVID-19, and to protect the most vulnerable among us. To that end, effective June 7, and until further notice, there will be only one worship service on Sundays at 9 AM. You may also worship with us on our Facebook page, where the Sunday 9 AM service is live. Additionally, please join us on Facebook for weekly Compline around 7 PM.

People with computer and other internet access are strongly encouraged to participate online so that those without internet access can come to the church if they wish.

If you attend service in person, please note the pews are taped in a configuration that allows more people to attend while still maintaining proper social distancing. We will still sit one household per pew - single person, couple, family with children. When you enter the pew, plan to sit close to the aisle. We will use alternating pews so that social distancing can be maintained.

New Mask and Sanitizing Instructions for In-person Worship:

  1. If you are ill or not feeling well, please respect others and remain at home.

  2. Wear your mask at all times when you are in church. Do not remove the mask to cough or sneeze, please. Feel free to leave the room during the service if necessary.

  3. Please leave your mask on when you are reading at the lectern. The sound system is capable of amplifying your voice. There is a bag of alcohol wipes and a basket at the lectern to wipe the microphone when you finish reading.

  4. Bring your communion wafer back to the pew before you consume it.

  5. Offering plates are on the front pews for your envelopes when you go to communion. If you are worshipping online, we are always happy to receive your mailed donations as they kept us afloat in 2020.

  6. Please remember Fr. Dave's guidance moving to and from the altar rail, and do not gather in groups after the service.

  7. We will be using fans and an open window for proper air circulation. Please dress accordingly.

We deeply appreciate your participation, and your willingness to adhere to these guidelines so that we can (hopefully) gather as a bigger family later in the year.
