WELCOME TO TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH OF PLATTSBURGH
Prepare, Learn, Serve
Trinity Episcopal Church is a weIcoming community sharing God's love with all. It is our belief that God's active presence can be felt through faith in Him. We are dedicated to the service of God and all his people, and our goal is to inspire you through the sanctity of our dwelling and our services. We invite you to become a part of our growing congregation.
Since 1822, twenty-five priests have served Trinity (until 2017). Located in the back of the church, the photos of the priests have been placed along the balcony wall for viewing.

CHURCH WORSHIP HOURS
Worship With Us!
As you are aware, there are updated New York State guidelines regarding Covid-19. As Christians, we have a responsibility to do anything we can to slow the spread of COVID-19, and to protect the most vulnerable among us. To that end, effective June 7, and until further notice, there will be only one worship service on Sundays at 9 AM. You may also worship with us on our Facebook page, where the Sunday 9 AM service is live. Additionally, please join us on Facebook for weekly Compline around 7 PM.
Please note the pews are taped in a configuration that allows more people to attend while still maintaining proper social distancing. We will still sit one household per pew - single person, couple, family with children. When you enter the pew, plan to sit close to the aisle. We will use alternating pews so that social distancing can be maintained.
We are so fortunate to have a wonderful historic building to worship in, but COVID-19 has highlighted a situation in this space - no internal ventilation system to lessen the impact of virus and flu spread. On Sundays, we will continue to leave one window open and run a fan to exhaust during services, for proper ventilation, for as long as possible into the winter months. Please plan to dress accordingly. At some point, depending on weather and local case counts, we may have to go to only worshipping online for the coldest months.
Please remember that a mask is required and you will be asked for name and phone number for contact tracing.
Christmas Eve: There will be only one service at 7 PM. It will also livestream on Facebook: Trinity Church Plattsburgh Page. Due to Covid-19 restrictions admission to this service will be by advance reservation tickets for contact tracing. Please see guidelines below for details.
COVID GUIDELINES FOR CHRISTMAS EVE
If you plan to attend the in-person service you must make a reservation in advance. Reservations are on a first come/first served basis with tickets as we have a limited number of seats available. Please call the church office (518-561-2244) to reserve your space(s). (If you leave a message be sure to include a return phone number.) You may pick up your tickets or request to have them mailed to you. There is a maximum of 4 persons in the same household per pew in the socially-distant seating arrangement. We will not seat persons from different households in the same pew.
You must give your ticket to the ushers when you enter church. The reservations will allow us to have a pre-printed contact tracing sheet available for checking you in when you arrive.
To control viral spread, there will be no singing or candle lighting during "Silent Night."
Hand sanitizer will be available in each of the pews.
We ask that you take your pre-printed bulletin with you when you leave.
Be sure to dress warmly as a window will be open and ceiling fans on to promote better air circulation.
If we need to cancel this service, we will post it on Facebook and it will be announced on WIRY. If there is enough notice, we will call people who have reservations.
